Findings
- Discovery share of voice: named in 3 of 5 unbranded discovery runs (both mid-market runs and the AI-coding run).
- Comparison presence: named in 2 of 2 "Bill.com alternatives" runs.
- Missed: the QuickBooks small-business prompt and the NetSuite AI-invoice prompt.
- Price answer was accurate (quote-based), but the dollar figures came from third-party sites. 1 of 5 citations was stampli.com.
- robots.txt explicitly allows OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot and Claude crawlers, and /llms.txt is present. A generic scripted request got intermittent HTTP 403s on the homepage and /pricing. Requests identifying as OAI-SearchBot got 200, so this is probably fine for AI crawlers, but it’s worth checking in server logs.
Top fixes
- Check server logs to confirm bot protection never challenges allowed AI crawlers.
- Publish an official page explaining how pricing works.
- Lead with specific NetSuite and QuickBooks pages.
