BILL: AI visibility sample

Engine: Grok Bot web-search answer tool (an AI answer engine with citations). ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews were not queried in these samples. Sample size is small, so treat every rate as directional. This is unsolicited sample research, not a report commissioned by BILL.

Findings

• Discovery share of voice: named in 3 of 5 unbranded runs. On the QuickBooks prompt it ranked behind QuickBooks Bill Pay.
• Consistently framed as SMB, QuickBooks/Xero, US-focused. Mid-market answers sent complexity to Tipalti, Stampli and Medius.
• One comparison answer described BILL’s AI as "OCR with manual review" and "rule-based automation". That wording appears on a competitor’s blog among the cited sources.
• Missed the NetSuite AI-invoice and AI-coding prompts.
• Open robots.txt, /llms.txt and a public /pricing page. No JSON-LD found in the server-rendered homepage HTML.
